Small or voluntary organisations are
set up for a variety of purposes: to address a local need; to make a bid for funding;
as the result of an award of funding, or as a way of developing a project
when pump priming ends. To be
successful the organisation must have a clear sense of purpose and a clear
sense of direction. |
|
|
|
This unit addresses the issues
involved in forming an organisation. It focuses on format, purpose and
partnerships and looks to the future when initial funding may be ending and
new ways of raising money must be found. An organisation which is clear about
what it wants to do is in a much better position to continue after
pump-priming funding ends. |
