Introduction

This Tutor's Manual is intended to be used in conjunction with the book Tourism Planning, and each exercise relates to the corresponding chapter in the textbook.

Before each exercise is attempted, and in preparation for a classroom exercise, it is advisable for the Tutor to collect the necessary ancillary material such as copies of recent broadsheet newspapers, ordnance survey maps or any maps and tables supplied with this pack.

In order to facilitate group work and group discussions, the tutor needs to ensure that flipcharts or their equivalent are available - so that key conclusions can be highlighted and shared by all the class.

Several exercises have both black and white and colour materials of the same item; this is to give the tutor a choice of media for class use.

All the materials in this Pack may be copied by a tutor for use with their own students on one university or college site; they may not be copied for use off-site or given to any other tutor or organisation.
